How to join CUUPS-TwinCities
From the Bylaws:
Article III - Membership
Membership in the chapter shall be open to any adult individual or family who meet the following criteria:
(1) that they pay dues to CUUPS-Twin Cities;
(2) attend at least 2 CUUPS-TwinCities Rituals;
(3) successfully complete the CUUPS-TwinCities Orientation program; and
(4) contribute to the goals of CUUPS-TwinCities through service to the chapter or a UU congregation; and
(5) that they are understand and are in sympathy with the purposes of CUUPS and the Seven
Principles of Unitarian
Universalism, and agree to share in our Covenant, and support the chapter's mission.
Minors between the ages of 14 and 17 may become members of CUUPS-Twin Cities in their own right with written parental consent.
Note: Items in RED have not yet been adopted as Bylaws; they were discussed and enacted by consensus of the membership at the 2007 Labor Day retreat. They are to be discussed, perhaps amended, and voted upon at the next Members Meeting in 2008.
After much discussion among the CUUPSBoard, we came to the concensus that the quality of our community life would be best served with a longer training requirement for future members, which
will include learning basic ritual skills, discovering signature strengths, and understanding our mission-covenant. This curriculum is to be developed and implemented in Fall 2007/Winter 2008 and we anticipate our next new membering ritual to take place in a retreat to be held late spring 2008.
Currently, chapter dues are set at $30/year with the year ending
06/30. Family
memberships are $45/year. Full time students and others on low incomes may become chapter members for $20/year.
Dues may be paid at any CUUPS-TwinCities event or with a check to:
CUUPS-TC Treasurer
c/o First Unitarian Society
900 Mount Curve Ave.

Please mark "CUUPS-TC DUES" in the memo on the check or on the
envelope if you are paying in person in cash. You will receive your
membership card within 10 days.
